Accessibility statement
London Machine Works (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to making our website accessible and usable for as many people as possible. We want everyone to be able to access the information on our site, regardless of ability or technology.
We aim to follow recognised good practice for accessibility and usability, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA. W3C

- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard
- use the website with a screen reader (including recent versions of common screen readers)

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
We are working towards conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. W3C
Compliance status: We have not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit. Based on internal checks, we believe much of the website is usable and accessible, but some areas may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
Non-accessible content (known limitations)
Because we have not completed a full audit, we cannot yet list all accessibility issues with certainty. However, the following types of issues can commonly occur and may apply to some parts of the site:
- PDFs or downloaded documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader software.
- Images or diagrams may occasionally have missing or incomplete alternative text.
- Keyboard focus and navigation may not be fully optimised on some interactive elements.
If you encounter any of these (or anything else), tell us what page you were on and what you were trying to do, and we’ll prioritise a fix.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are improving accessibility by:
- checking new pages and updates against WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria
- addressing issues raised through user feedback
- planning periodic accessibility reviews using automated checks and manual testing
(For public-sector bodies, accessibility statements follow specific GOV.UK guidance; we use this guidance as a best-practice benchmark even though private-sector sites are not always covered by the same regulations.)
