Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Statement

London Paint Works Ltd (trading as London Machine Works) has a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. We are committed to acting honestly, transparently and with integrity in all of our business dealings, and to complying with applicable laws, including the UK Bribery Act 2010.

What this means in practice

We do not offer, promise, give, request or accept bribes or any improper advantage—directly or indirectly. This includes:

  • Bribes, kickbacks, and facilitation payments (including “small payments” to speed up routine actions)
  • Improper gifts or hospitality intended to influence decisions or secure an unfair advantage
  • Improper payments or benefits to public officials
  • Using third parties (agents, intermediaries, consultants) to pay or receive bribes on our behalf

Gifts, hospitality and expenses

Reasonable and proportionate hospitality may be offered or accepted when it is genuine, infrequent, and for legitimate business purposes. We do not offer or accept cash or cash equivalents, and we take extra care around tendering or contract award situations. We also maintain appropriate records of gifts, hospitality and expenses.

Third-party relationships

Where a relationship presents higher risk (for example, certain agents or representatives), we carry out proportionate due diligence and expect suitable anti-bribery commitments in place.

Speaking up

We encourage anyone working for or with us to raise concerns about suspected bribery or corruption. Concerns can be reported in confidence, and no one will be penalised for refusing to participate in bribery or for reporting concerns in good faith.

Records and compliance

We maintain accurate records to evidence the legitimate business purpose of payments, gifts, hospitality and expenses. False or misleading records are not tolerated. Breaches may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts, and (where appropriate) legal action.
